For the first time, Azerbaijan will participate in the prestigious Venice Architecture Biennale, one of the world’s most renowned international architecture exhibitions.

Report.az informs, citing The ArchDaily, that the 19th edition of the Biennale will run from May 10 to November 23, 2025, under the theme Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective. The exhibition will emphasize inclusivity and collaboration in addressing global challenges, particularly the climate crisis.

Azerbaijan's national pavilion will focus on innovative design solutions amid environmental concerns, following the principle: Innovate and Preserve. The project, titled Balance. Patterns of Azerbaijan, will showcase how innovation can help foster a green lifestyle while preserving cultural heritage.

The pavilion will also feature a dedicated space honoring Ajami Nakhchivani, the founder of the Nakhchivan School of Architecture, highlighting Azerbaijan's architectural legacy.

This year's Biennale will feature 65 national pavilions, with Azerbaijan, Oman, Qatar, and Togo participating for the first time.
